You will receive this error message if your device's authorization is lost or damaged. Please re-enter your Adobe ID in Adobe Digital Editions:

  • Open Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) and press the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + D (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + D (Mac)
  • Confirm that you want to deauthorize ADE, (with newer versions of ADE you also have to enter your password again.)
  • Re-enter your Adobe ID by using "Help" → "Authorize computer"

It may occur that already borrowed eBooks are no longer usable until the end of the loan period, as they were not correctly authorized by your ID. To test whether it works now, please borrow and download a new eBook.
